Job Title: Forklift Operator

Darmac Framing Systems is a privately owned Canadian company that builds quality walls, floors, and trusses for residential construction in our prefabrication shop. We provide a positive work environment for our employees and excellent value for our customers. Darmac Framing Systems is looking to hire a Forklift Operator to work in our shop based in Balzac, AB. The position will report directly to the Shop Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a forklift to move materials and products within the prefabrication shop.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas using the forklift.
• Transport materials to designated work areas or storage locations.
• Stack and organize materials in an efficient and orderly manner.
• Inspect and maintain forklift equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Ahere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow.

Pay is based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to write and speak in English.
• Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Prior experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or construction environment preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and practices related to forklift operation.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely in various weather and environmental conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in an industrial setting.
• Ability to do heavy lifting and prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Type: Permanent
Expected Hours: 40- 50 hours per week
