Job Title: Shop Framer

Darmac Framing Systems is a privately owned Canadian company that builds quality walls, floors, and trusses for residential construction in our prefabrication shop. We provide a positive work environment for our employees and excellent value for our customers. Darmac Framing Systems is looking to hire framers to work in our shop based in Balzac, AB. The position will report directly to the Shop Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand the requirements and layout of the framing work.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete framing tasks.
• Select appropriate materials for the job, ensuring quality and compliance with building codes.
• Build floors, walls, and roofs by assembling framing materials and installing them as per the design specifications.
• Assist with the installation of sheathing, insulation and other building materials as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Adhere to safely protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project goals.
• Maintain clear and organized work areas and properly dispose of waste materials.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to write and speak in English.
• Previous experience as a framer.
• You are comfortable using hand tools, power tools and machines. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment to achieve accurate cuts.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in an industrial setting.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay is based on qualifications and experience.
