Darmac Framing Systems is a privately owned Canadian company that builds quality walls, floors, and trusses for residential construction in our prefabrication shop. We provide a positive work environment for our employees and excellent value for our customers. Darmac Framing Systems is looking to hire a Truss Assembler to work in our shop based in Balzac, AB. The position will report directly to the Shop Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble trusses according to detailed blueprints, diagrams, and work orders.
• Select cutting positions and set controls for saws, milling machines and routers following specifications.
• Ensure that all trusses meet quality standards and adhere to safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and enhance productivity.
• Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment and the workspace.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company standards and customer requirements.
• Identify and assist in resolving issues with truss assembly or machinery.
• Continuously strive for improvement in processes and techniques to enhance efficacy and product quality.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to write and speak in English.
• Previous experience in truss assembly, carpentry, or related construction field.
• Familiarity with truss assembly processes and techniques.
• You are comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues during the building process.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment to achieve accurate cuts.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in an industrial setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and manipulate heavy materials as required.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must have reliable transportation to get to work. We cannot be reached by public transportation.

Pay is based on qualifications and experience.
